A four-foot mattress,
without the overwhelm.
What matters to you?
There is no single best mattress here. Move the sliders to compare the five researched options. Start with what you know; leave anything else neutral.

How the chooser works—and what it cannot know
This is a transparent shortlist aid, not a comfort test or a prediction of how well you will sleep. Price, feel, trial and service each contribute in proportion to your sliders. Neutral sliders contribute nothing. No product gets a default quality bonus.
Lower known cost scores better for price. Open coil and pocket springs favour a responsive feel; memory foam favours a hug; hybrid sits between; latex stays on the responsive side. These are editorial estimates. JOYA foam receives full trial credit, Spinery partial credit for its substantial deductions, and Hybrid no confirmed-trial credit until its eligibility is clarified. For service, room setup plus removal scores highest; upstairs restrictions or unconfirmed removal score less.
Firmness uses the retailer’s labels and influences the order, but labels are not standardised. Unknown or conflicting labels stay uncertain. Maximum spend excludes options already above it; an option with unknown disposal or protector costs is only a provisional budget fit. Sleeping position, body weight, partner movement, heat and existing aches are reasons to test a mattress—not things this limited research can reliably score.
Your choices stay in this browser tab. “Copy link” includes them in the address fragment so your parents can open the same comparison. No account or form submission is needed.

Getting it in—and the old one out
Book removal when ordering; it is not automatic. The quoted totals include the published removal fee where offered. For JOYA, budget separately for disposal.
Tell the shop your floor, lift dimensions, stairs, tight turns and parking restrictions. Confirm bedroom delivery and removal from the apartment: Mick’s terms warn that upstairs handling is at the customer’s risk. JOYA’s box still weighs roughly 24–26 kg.
Alternative: Dublin City Council bulky collection publishes €40 for up to five items in its own area. Confirm mattress acceptance and the apartment collection point; this is not a promise of upstairs removal or a chosen date.
Choose by feel, cost and return risk
No single mattress suits everyone. Use the interactive chooser above to build a shortlist. Compare the actual four-foot size, try the feel where possible, and confirm apartment access and removal. A higher price does not establish better comfort; a home trial can reduce uncertainty, but check every return deduction.
Recommendation confidence: moderate—your sleeping position, preferred feel, budget and whether two people share are unknown. Prices are observed retail prices, not checkout quotes; availability and fees can change. “Cheapest” means among the products checked, not an exhaustive market search. Trials require paying upfront; a warranty covers faults, not a comfort trial. Policies above are retailers’ published terms, not a determination of statutory rights. “Orthopaedic”, “gel” and “pillow-top” are features/labels, not separate support systems.

Sources, important caveats & verification notes
All five product URLs and the linked retailer policy pages were visited in Chrome. Four-foot variant prices were selected for Richmond and both JOYA products. The Spinery screenshot spans one continuous page region so its photo and price are visible together. All screenshots are genuine browser captures. The nine standalone photos are retailer images saved with this guide and available to view or download; Olympus exposes one product photo.
Beds.ie delivery/removal · Mick’s delivery/removal · JOYA delivery exceptions · Spinery removal
JOYA’s 72-hour product banner conflicts with its explicit three-week four-foot delivery exception; this guide uses the size-specific caveat. The Hybrid page advertises a trial, but the detailed trial terms name only Premium Gel; its materials list also describes a foam foundation despite the pocket-spring description. Get those two points confirmed before choosing it. Spinery’s 15% fee equals €202.50 at this price; a further packaging fee up to 20% equals €270. Preserve packaging and check deductions for promotional gifts.
